Time flies when you're having an
absolutely crap few weeks...
Indeed it has been a rough couple of weeks, though standing on this side of
it now it hardly seems like it was almost two weeks! But now I have but two
assignments left to hand in (I can hear the exams people snarling with jealousy)
and things are looking up.
Here is a quick rundown of my life the past two weeks:
- I will be Contact co-ordinator again for 2000
- For the first time ever I planned my way through end of year assessments
and it worked! Wow! This being organised thing is a marvel!
- Learnt much about the liminality of performance, rhetoric in screen acting
and using Pro Tools effectively. Looking forward to 'click!' on Nov 18 (mail
me if you want to come along - 'tis the exhibition for all 1st, 2nd and
3rd year media works from 1999 and it should be an excellent evening. Cheap
tickets available!)
- Saw George Miller talk about art, science and religion. It was interesting - and 'that
guy' was a right wally! Obviously a fan of Kepler, though...
- My life as a UNSW trivia quiz host is now finished. It is nice to finally shed some
of the extra curricular things I have been doing so I can focus on me for a while. Sounds
kinda nasty, but I've been there far too long to keep giving up on myself
Whatever else I had to say, and I know there were a few doozeys, will have
to wait for another day. For now I will just have to slowly come to grips with
all the incredibly backward people in Australia who are going to vote 'No' in
tomorrows referendum. God help this nation finally grow up.
Off to tinker with the new site design. 'night.
