Tis the season...

A pleasant couple of days have coasted by. A lovely dinner on Monday night with the household, with a surprise call from our ex-pat flatmate Lisa (thanks babe!). Yesterday I picked up my rail tickets for Europe and picked up a few other odds and ends. Finally, tonight I had a very nice evening with many friends coming by for a festive season/farewell party. It was very cool to see people at this time of year, and particularly some of the people I almost never get to see nowadays - like friends who work in far away places such as New Zealand now, but happened to be in town and was able to come by for the evening.

So another evening of noticing how much I like my friends and love my life in general at the moment. There is but two days until I am off to green, pleasant and somewhat colder lands for 7 weeks. Tomorrow is the great shopping expedition. Backpack (yes, I had to buy one - but I can get a damn fine deal from a friend who works in a travel goods shop, so what the hey!), beanie, new wallet, and other implements of safe and comfortable travelling. Then the final room tidy and set up for the Romm 6 week stop over.

Yes, this has been a mundane update. I'm sure you'll cope. I'll fit one more in before I run away. Til then...
